Transmission Engineering Company (TECO) today released its new and updated WEB site. www.tecoinc.com

Our goal in creating our new website was three-fold, commented Scott Bishop, president and owner. “give customers information they can use, keep them up to date on new products, and make sure we provide the most current information for informed decisions.”

TECO spent a good part of the summer developing its new site. “We did a lot research, and made sure all of our partners participated”, commented Tanya Jacoby, operations manager.

“Over the past decade our sales engineers have become solution oriented in addition to product sales people. A fully integrated web site in support of that role is absolutely essential as we continue to grow the business”, said Phil Watson, general manager.

Building a site like this is not an easy task, but TECO has continually made the investment in technology, so that TECO’s IT group under the direction of Tony Sandor had capacity and in house expertise in Chad Sandor to get the site up and going in record time.

Chad went on to discuss how he developed the site so that it is extremely user friendly. In fact, it functions in such a way that updates and content changes can be done with little IT support. What that means is that, users informally called Team TECO will keep the site current. “The Users have to take ownership to make it work”, Chad said.

TECO was founded in 1936 as a distributor of power transmission and motion control products. As customers needs evolved, Transmission Engineering, TECO, responded by adding automation and control solutions. TECO employs a technology based sales and support staff to offer their customers a total solution. TECO is headquartered in Hatfield, Pennsylvania, and serves the Mid-Atlantic region with branches, or representation in Reading and Wilkes-Barre, PA; Vineland, NJ; Baltimore, MD; Rock Hill, SC;, and Chesapeake, VA.
